My journey:

My own journey began in my late teens when, after a long period of bullying and isolation at school, I sank into a deep depression. I stopped going to school, I could barely leave the house without bursting into tears and I couldn't see any way out of the dark, heavy cloud of energy that engulfed me.

Over time I got better, through therapy and later through the practice of yoga, but the lingering feelings of self doubt and a lack of self trust held me back from reaching my potential for years. On the outside my life looked great, but inside my mind was plagued with anxious thoughts, I had bouts of insomnia, and whenever I ‘succeeded’, there was an underlying fear that the rug would be pulled from underneath my feet at any moment.

After a few years of ebbing and flowing through the highs and lows of moving to a new country, making new friends, losing my job, starting a business and then re-joining the corporate world, I just felt like I needed someone to support me to figure out how to get closer to the person I wanted to be and the life I wanted to live.

Then I found coaching.

The experience was transformational. Not only in understanding what makes me tick work-wise, but also in realising that I'd been speaking to myself in such a critical way and it was having a profound impact on my happiness. 

Coaching had such a positive impact on my wellbeing that I decided to train to be a coach myself. It felt like such a natural extension to my yoga classes and retreats, and it is also something that comes very naturally to me as an empath and highly sensitive person. I can pick up on what’s not being said and provide a safe space for people to truly open up.

Nowadays, I hope to turn some of my personal pain into a healing balm for others. I love to work with sensitive, passionate people who are struggling with a shaky sense of self-worth.
