What is Lunar Yin Yoga?
Lunar Yin Yoga is a unique style of yoga that I created after more than a decade of practising yoga and learning how to live in tune with the moon, and with my own cycles of ebbing and flowing. During the 60-minute practice, we flow from the Yang energy of the day into the Yin energy of the evening, learning how to release, relax and go inwards. As our energy is ripe for contemplation and reflection, pockets of silence are infused with lunar wisdom, theming the classes around the energy of the current moon cycle and with updates on the overall astrological energy.

What does it mean to be ‘In tune with the moon’?
Living in tune with the moon can mean many things, but in this 4-part program, I’ll show you how I’ve spent the last decade learning how to adapt my lifestyle, intention setting, and energy expectations to living more in tune with the moon and with my true self. In this program we’ll explore:
How to understand your own birth chart in a 1:1 session where we’ll review the houses each sign falls in for you and how that helps to guide the themes for the intentions you set with each New Moon.
We’ll look beyond just the New and Full Moons to understand the energetics at play in each phase of the moon cycle; waxing, waning, new and full. We’ll learn how the phases of the moon cycles reflect the seasons of nature (Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring) and how that also reflects our own inner seasons as women (in the Ovulation, Luteal, Menstruation, and Follicular phases).
We’ll move through a tailored Lunar Yin Yoga practice for each phase/season, so that you can adapt (or begin) your yoga practice to honour your energy each time you step on the mat, as well as a cyclical wisdom workshop so you can take the passive wisdom from the body and womb space, and turn it into knowledge for the mind that you can take off the mat and into your life.
What about working with my own cycle of ebbing & flowing?
After years of struggling with debilitating period pains in my late twenties and early thirties, with no medical reason shared beyond, “it’s normal to have painful periods”, I began to educate myself from a holistic perspective. I became more conscious of how our menstrual cycle reflects that of the lunar energy and how we can match our practice, diet and lifestyle choices with the energy of each phase.
I realised that as women we’ve been taught to adapt to the yang energy of the Sun, the masculine, and the day, but the deeper I went, the more I realised that we also need the balancing energy of the yin, the feminine, the moon, and the night.
For those who have inconsistent cycles, or who no longer bleed, you can still work with the energy of the lunar cycle as your guiding star for honouring your innate ebbs and flows.
