Libra Season & The Autumn Equinox, 2023
Is anyone else enjoying the crispness in the air right now? The cooling energy of the airy vata season blowing in?
Well, that’s because the winds are literally shifting us from Summer mode into Autumn and it’s whispering to us that it’s time to slow down.
Libra season begins tomorrow, alongside the Autumn Equinox. The balance of light and dark, night and day, yin and yang takes place in the sign of the scales, calling for us to find our inner balance.
This time of year signifies the shift from the Spring and Summer “yang” months, to the Autumn and Winter “yin” months. It’s time to turn yinwards .
To look within to find peace, balance and harmony within ourselves. And, with the sun moving into Libra in parallel, it’s also a time to look at our relationships. Both the relationship we have with ourselves as well as the ones we have with others.
Some notes to journal on:
Which relationships in my life feel balanced, harmonious and peaceful?
Which relationships send my inner sense of harmony off kilter?
What is my relationship with myself? Do I speak kindly to myself, do I have my own back, do I trust myself?
Some big points to ponder, but thankfully we have a whole month to observe these aspects of our lives.
The Autumn Equinox is also here to signify the end of sowing season. It’s time to harvest the fruits of our labour.
So take a look back over the year so far…
What are you most grateful for?
What are you proud of?
How have you grown?
We’re moving into the slower season now where we begin to wind down our efforts and conserve some energy for the year ahead. That’s not to say that we’ll grind to a halt completely, but rather we can refine some of the things we’ve already set into motion.
